Stoneware, still
turning on the wheel.
Bosa Decor is a small stoneware studio in Thimi — mugs, teapots, tableware and planters, wedged, thrown and glazed by hand across three signature collections.
Three glaze palettes.
One clay body.
Every form we throw is available across three signature collections — pick the shape, then pick the glaze.
Pieces for the table
and the counter.
Bosa Home Bundle
Our most-loved starter set — one Everyday Mug, one Small Planter and one Serving Bowl, bundled for less than buying separately.
From clay block to
fired vessel.
Every piece passes through the same five stages on its way from raw clay to a food-safe, fully vitrified stoneware object.
Wedging & centring
Clay is kneaded by hand to remove air pockets, then centred on the wheel head before it can be opened.
Throwing
The form is pulled up and shaped on the potter's wheel — the source of the fine concentric throwing lines you'll feel on every piece.
Trimming & handles
Once leather-hard, the base is trimmed and handles, spouts or lids are pulled and attached separately.
Bisque firing
A first, lower-temperature firing hardens the clay body so it can safely hold glaze.
Glazing & Cone 6 firing
Glaze is hand-dipped or brushed on in one of our three collection colourways, then fired to stoneware temperature for a fully vitrified, food-safe finish.

A studio built around one material.
Bosa Decor started with a simple fascination with clay — what it can hold, how it moves on a wheel, and how differently it behaves depending on what you feed it in the glaze. That fascination is now a working studio and factory in Thimi, Bhaktapur, one of the valley's oldest pottery towns.
Every piece is wheel-thrown or hand-built in-house, glazed using recipes developed and tested on our own kilns across three signature collections, and fired to a genuine stoneware temperature — not a decorative low-fire finish.

Care & policies.
Shipping & delivery
We deliver across the Kathmandu Valley via Pathao, and ship nationwide through local courier partners. Orders are packed by hand with extra padding around handles, spouts and rims — handmade pieces travel differently than factory ones, so we take our time here.
Caring for your stoneware
Hand-washing is recommended to protect the glaze finish over time, especially on pieces with hand-painted or drip detailing. Every piece is fired to a fully vitrified, food-safe stoneware finish — ask us about a specific piece if you're planning to microwave or oven-use it regularly.
Returns & exchanges
Each piece is thrown and glazed by hand, so small variations in colour, shape and glaze pooling are part of the piece, not a flaw. If something arrives damaged or isn't what you ordered, message us within 3 days and we'll sort out a replacement or refund.
